About The Beautiful Henna Stain
Getting that deep, rich colour is not magic, but it does need the right preparation. I use my own organic paste mixed with eucalyptus or lavender oil to give you the best possible result. To hit those 'stain goals' for your big day, keep the dried henna on for 6 to 8 hours and avoid water for the first 24 hours. It makes a huge difference, whether you are getting ready for your baath pakki or a wedding celebration.
The secret to a dark mehendi stain starts before I even pick up a cone. Because I make my own henna using 100% organic powder and essential oils, there are no harsh chemicals that strip the skin or cause irritation. This is why my clients often see that deep, reddish-brown colour develop fully within a day.
How to get the best result
To ensure your henna really pops, aftercare is everything. Here is how I suggest all my clients handle their henna:
- Keep it on: Let the dried henna stay on your skin for at least 6 to 8 hours. If you can leave it overnight, even better.
- Avoid water: Keep your hands away from water for the first 24 hours after removing the paste. Water stops the oxidation process that deepens the colour.
- Warmth is key: Heat helps the stain darken. If you can, stay in a warm environment while the henna is developing.
Whether you are visiting my studio in Mavalli, near Lalbagh, or I am travelling to your home for a bridal session, my process remains the same. I want your mehendi to look as good in the photos as it feels in person. If you are prepping for a shaadi, eid, or just a small festive get-together, ask me about my organic henna schedule when we chat.
