When you browse through these images, you will notice a mix of candid maternity shots and high-energy birthday celebrations, but the common thread is my refusal to settle for a shot that is just okay. Whether we are setting up a vintage library theme for your baby or waiting for the sun to hit just right during an outdoor shoot in Bangalore, I often find myself saying, 'Matte matte, eradane take'—again and again. I only move on when the frame captures the emotion exactly as it felt in that second.
Photography is never just about pressing a button. It is about the environment we create together. My approach to these featured shoots depends entirely on the story we are telling.
The Maternity & Baby Process
For maternity sessions, I prefer a mix of comfortable, home-based setups and the open beauty of Bangalore’s parks. I bring the props, the lighting, and the patience; you bring the energy. If you are worried about your baby being fussy during a studio session, do not be. My 'Themed Baby' sessions are designed to be baby-led. We take breaks for feeding, changing, and calming, ensuring the child feels safe while I work around their timeline to catch those curious smiles and yawns.
Capturing Events
When I cover naming ceremonies or birthdays, I move away from the 'photographer-as-observer' style and become a part of the event. I aim to document not just the decor or the cake cutting, but the small interactions between family members that disappear in the chaos.
My Editing Philosophy
Every image you see here has gone through my personal editing workflow. I do not believe in heavy filters that wash out reality. I focus on color grading that enhances the warmth and mood of the day, making sure the skin tones look natural and the lighting remains true to the moment we captured. Whether it is a moody black and white silhouette or a vibrant, colorful birthday party, the edit is meant to support the story, not distract from it.
