Featured Mehndi Designs by Harsha Mehta
From iconic world art to your personal love story, explore my signature portrait and storytelling henna designs. Every pattern is crafted with my own organic henna for a deep, rich stain.
This engagement mehndi was a true work of art, inspired by some of the world's greatest masterpieces. We incorporated elements from Hokusai's "The Great Wave," Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam," and Picasso's graceful lines to tell a love story that is itself a masterpiece.
Your family members come in all shapes and sizes, and I love including them in your story. This bridal design features a special portrait of the bride's beloved pet, ensuring her furry friend was part of the celebration.
A bride deserves nothing less than perfection. This is a look at a complete bridal mehndi, featuring symmetrical patterns, traditional motifs like swans and lotuses, and intricate details covering the full arms for a truly royal look.
I love turning your cherished memories into mehndi. Here, you can see how I transformed a beautiful photo of a couple into a detailed portrait mehndi for their special day, capturing their likeness and love in henna.
Bringing energy and movement into my designs is a passion. This piece features a vibrant Garba dancer against an architectural backdrop, perfect for a bride who wants to celebrate her culture and love for dance.
The final stain is the heart of my work. This video shows the beautiful, deep, and rich color of my organic henna on a real bride during her wedding ceremonies, a result of using only the best natural ingredients.
It was an honor to create custom portrait mehndi for the leading ladies of the Gujarati film "Maharani." This is a great example of how we can celebrate special events and people with personalized henna art.
Mehndi can also be a spiritual journey. This design, created for a client observing Jain tapasya, incorporates a serene Mahaveer figure under a temple dome, reflecting a path of enlightenment and austerity.
About Featured
My designs aren't just about the art; they are about the lasting stain. I use only my own organic, triple-sifted Sojat henna mixed with cajeput oil. It is why my brides get that deep, rich colour that stays perfect for their wedding photos.
For me, mehndi is emotion. This collection showcases the variety in my work, from the complex miniature details of a baraat procession to modern portrait work. When I work with a bride, I don't just apply patterns. I look for the story. Did you meet at a specific venue? Do you have a pet that needs to be included in the design? Is there a particular art style, like the waves of Hokusai or the grace of Picasso, that defines your taste?
I treat every project as a piece of art that needs to tell your specific history. I specialize in miniature mehndi, where I fit detailed scenes into a small space, creating a narrative that unfolds across your hands and arms. Whether it is a traditional Jain temple dome or a portrait of the couple, every line is placed with intent.
Beyond the artistry, the practical side matters. I prepare my henna paste 48 hours in advance using natural, triple-sifted ingredients. This ensures the best dye release for a dark, long-lasting stain. You will find that my approach is very personal, whether I am working on a full bridal session or smaller engagement designs. I also love bringing my craft to unexpected places, like movie promotions or spiritual events, because mehndi is really for every special milestone.
