About Behind the Stitches: My Creative Journey
People always ask how these stay so perfect. Every flower I make involves hours of careful, stitch by stitch work using soft acrylic yarn stuffed with polyfill so the 3D shape holds its structure. Whether it is a vibrant sunflower or a delicate rose, I handcraft every single petal so it never wilts like real flowers.
When I started crocheting in 2023, I did not expect to find such a calming escape. Every bouquet you see here is a result of that journey. I build these pieces using wire-framed stems that allow you to pose the flowers just the way you like.
You will notice in the photos that I use different techniques for different flowers. For the roses, I focus on the layering of petals, while for sunflowers, the center needs that rich, dense texture to look real.
These are perfect for gifting because they survive the test of time. Unlike real flowers that fade in days, these stay fresh on your shelf. I wrap them in vintage-style paper and include little touches like fairy lights or crochet bees to make the gift feel complete.
