Planning a modern wedding look? I love working with pastels—from soft pinks to elegant whites. Let’s create a fresh, glamorous bridal look that keeps you feeling like yourself.

A stunning look in a purple lehenga with intricate mirror work. I created a soft glam makeup look with a flawless base to complement the outfit's modern elegance.

A regal look in a royal blue lehenga. The makeup is bold and defined, with a focus on the eyes, creating a look fit for a queen.

This bride is wearing a beautiful pastel pink lehenga. I used a soft smokey eye and a nude pink lip to create a sophisticated and modern bridal style.

An elegant and fresh look for a bride in a white saree. I used a green smokey eye to match her jewelry and kept the rest of the makeup luminous and natural.

About Modern & Pastel Bridal Looks

Choosing a pastel lehenga often requires a specific approach to makeup intensity to ensure you don't look washed out. I typically suggest a dewy HD base with soft rose-gold or champagne highlights for these colors, which keeps the look fresh and luminous in both daylight and evening photography.

Styling for the Modern Bride

Pastel colors like lavender, peach, and powder blue have become a staple for modern weddings, but they demand a different makeup strategy than traditional red or maroon lehengas. When you wear lighter colors, your makeup needs to provide enough definition so your features don't get lost against the outfit.

My Approach to Pastel Looks

  • Base Selection: For pastels, I prioritize a dewy, glowing finish. Using a heavy matte base can sometimes make a pastel look feel too 'flat' or artificial. We want your skin to look hydrated and radiant.
  • Eye Makeup: Instead of heavy, dark smokey eyes, I lean towards shimmer lids, halo effects, or soft brown tones. This complements the ethereal vibe of the outfit without competing with it.
  • Custom Color Matching: Whether you are going for a white saree or a lavender lehenga, I adjust the pigment of your blush and lip color to match the undertones of your fabric. This creates a cohesive, harmonious look.

The Hair & Finish

My team expert, Ritu Yadav, handles the hairstyling, which is crucial for modern bridal looks. For pastels, we often move away from traditional heavy buns toward softer, romantic styles like Hollywood waves, messy braids, or loose, voluminous curls pinned with delicate floral accessories or pearls. This keeps the overall vibe 'dreamy' and modern.

Service Logistics

Whether you are visiting my studio in Sector 7, Gurugram, or booking me for a venue visit across Delhi NCR, the process is the same. We start with a consultation to decide on your color palette. If your event involves humid weather or long hours, we can discuss switching your HD finish to an airbrush technique, which offers a water-resistant, durable base. I don't follow a fixed template for anyone—we tailor the look to your skin and the event timing.
