From movie sets to live stage performances, I pour my soul into every character I style. Here is a look at the chaos, the magic, and the transformations I live for.

Transforming the amazing Ali Asgar sir into his iconic 'Buwaa' character for a TV series. For me, makeup is about giving life to a role, and this was a special one where I handled both the makeup and the hair draping to complete the look.

It was my saubhagya, my good fortune, to get the chance to create the look for young Lord Ram. This is a behind the scenes video of me applying the mythological makeup for a devotional music video.

This is what a crazy day on a Delhi film set looks like. We had to get 2,000 junior artists camera-ready in just two hours. It's all about speed, teamwork, and having an eyebrow pencil in one hand and a lipstick in the other.

On set with the one and only Ajay Devgn sir for the film "Raid 2". Working on major Bollywood productions and with such legendary actors is a dream come true and an incredible learning experience.

The official poster for the film "Munda Rockstar". I worked on the makeup for the cast, helping to create the edgy, high-energy look for this musical thriller. It's an amazing feeling to see our work on the big screen.

Sometimes on set you have to do a little bit of everything. Here I am helping the wonderful Bharti Singh with her hair. Being a production artist means being a team player to get the perfect final shot.

A glimpse into the process of creating a traditional look for a live stage performance. This video shows the detailed application of makeup for a mythological character, designed to be expressive and vibrant for the audience.

About Featured

When I am on set, it is not just about the makeup. It is about the prep and the pressure. Whether I am managing 2,000 junior artists in a two-hour window for a film shoot or detailing the mythological look for a music video, I focus on durability and character essence. My kit is stocked for 12-hour shifts because I know the camera needs consistency, not just a pretty face that fades.

My work life is a mix of highs, lows, and a whole lot of hustle. Styling for a film or a TV show is rarely as glamorous as people imagine. It is usually long days, quick fixes, and intense pressure. But this is where I feel most alive.

Character and Film Styling

When I work on projects like Raid 2 or Munda Rockstar, my priority is bringing the script to life. I do not just put colors on a face. I study the character. If it is a mythological look for a devotional song, I obsess over the details—the skin tone, the traditional accessories, the way it catches the light. I use high-end HD bases like MAC or Makeup Forever for film work to ensure the skin looks perfect under macro lenses.

Handling Scale and Speed

I have learned that on a big set, speed is everything. I once had to get 2,000 junior artists ready in just two hours for a Delhi shoot. That requires a specific kind of management: assigning tasks, watching the clock, and maintaining background continuity. I keep my kit ready for that—heavy-duty stick foundations for the heat and industrial-strength hair sprays to keep everyone looking consistent.

Stage Performance

Being a Kathak dancer helps me understand what a performer needs. Stage makeup is different. You need water-activated pancake makeup that survives sweat and intense lights, and feature definition that reaches the back row of the audience. Whether it is a film shoot or a live recital, I make sure the look is solid, durable, and honest. I am just grateful for every set I step onto.

I am Harshaj, and for me, makeup is how I bring a character to life. My mom taught me that this work is my saubhagya, and I carry that blessing onto every film set and stage I step on. I love the chaos of a shoot, and whether I am styling a lead actor or managing a crowd of thousands, I make sure every detail feels real.
