Character & Transformation Makeup for Film and TV
Bringing stories to life requires more than just colors. I specialize in character-driven makeup, from mythological transformations to rapid grooming for large-scale production sets.

It was my saubhagya, my good fortune, to get the chance to create the look for young Lord Ram. This is a behind the scenes video of me applying the mythological makeup for a devotional music video.

About Character & Transformation Makeup
People think film sets are all glamour, but it is actually about managing chaos. Whether I am handling quick fixes for a lead actor or coordinating grooming for 2,000 junior artists, my focus is on durability and continuity. I use specific techniques like Spirit Gum for beards and high-contrast HD bases that hold up for 12-hour shifts without the need for constant vanity van touch-ups.
For me, makeup is 'saubhagya' (good fortune)—it is the process of giving soul to a character. When I worked on the 'Buwaa' look or the young Lord Ram, the goal was never just to paint a face, but to make the character believable on camera.
My Approach to Transformation
- Character Creation: I execute specific script requirements, including gender transformation, period pieces, and mythological getups. This involves precise work with spirit gum, wig setting, and costume draping to ensure the actor fully inhabits the role.
- On-Set Reliability: Film sets are fast-paced. I manage continuity by performing standby checks at the monitor, ensuring sweat is managed and makeup remains consistent between takes.
- High-Volume Grooming: I have experience managing large-scale productions, such as getting 2,000 junior artists camera-ready in just two hours. This requires assembly-line grooming and the use of heavy-duty sticks for maximum coverage under harsh studio lighting.
The Kit
I use professional-grade products designed for high-definition cameras. For close-ups, I rely on MAC and Makeup Forever HD foundations with custom color correction. For rapid, outdoor, or crowd shoots, I use Kryolan TV Paint Sticks and industrial-strength setting sprays to ensure the look stays intact through the longest shifts.
Harshstyle
I do not just apply makeup; I help tell a story through a character's face. My work is driven by the lessons my mother taught me, and I bring that same dedication to every single set I step onto.
