Elegant Updos & Buns for Mumbai Events
Whether it is a sharp top knot or a soft, textured bun, I create styles that define your silhouette and hold through any event. Let’s get you that main character energy.
A behind the scenes moment of me putting the finishing touches on Juhi Godambe's top knot for the Elle Beauty Awards. Hairspray is a hairstylist's best friend for looks like these.
The sleek top knot I created for Juhi Godambe was the perfect hairstyle for her edgy, modern dress. It adds height and elegance, letting the outfit's details stand out.

This close up shows the clean finish of the top knot and the soft tendrils I left out to frame her face. It’s about finding the balance between sleek and soft.

I love this creative shot showing the back of the top knot in the mirror. It’s a perfectly neat and structured bun that is timelessly chic.
For Kajol Bafnaa, I created this glitter top knot to match her boss lady vibes. The glitter is woven into the bun itself for a cool, integrated sparkle.
The glitter top knot paired with soft, face framing pieces gives a modern and trendy feel to this look. The pink streaks in her hair add another fun element.
This video shows the glitter top knot in motion. It’s a fun, party ready hairstyle that is sure to turn heads.
About Elegant Updos & Buns
A great updo is 20 percent styling and 80 percent engineering. I use matte-finish pins, invisible nets, and specific texturing products to ensure your bun does not just look perfect at the start of the event, but stays exactly where I pinned it—even if you are dancing all night.
The Science of the Perfect Updo
When I am prepping a bun, the goal is always sleek but secure. I start by analyzing your outfit neckline and face shape to decide between a high-top knot, a low messy bun, or an architectural updo.
For that glass hair finish you see on celebrities, I rely on a mix of heavy-duty pomades and precise backcombing at the crown. It is all about creating volume where you need it and smoothing out flyaways so the hair looks like a single, sculpted piece. If you are going for a more romantic or textured look, I weave in loose strands and use light-hold sprays that provide movement without feeling sticky or stiff.
Why My Updos Last
One question I get constantly is, "Will it hold?" Yes. Because I do not just use bobby pins. I use specific anchoring techniques with invisible nets and matte-finish pins that disappear into your hair color. Whether we are adding clip-in extensions for that extra thickness or playing with glitter dust, the structure is designed to last through humidity, dancing, and outfit changes.
Getting You Ready
I travel to your hotel or studio in Mumbai with my full kit—Dyson tools, Kérastase heat protectants, and professional-grade setting sprays. We will chat about your vibe, your dress, and your comfort before I even pick up a brush. Whether it is an intricate braided bun or a sharp, minimalist top knot, my focus is on making sure your hair feels as good as it looks.
