About this collection
When you see these images, you are looking at hair styled without a single crimper. I teach my students that real volume comes from sectioning and proper locking, not heat damage. Whether you are a bride-to-be watching me work or a student learning the craft, you are seeing a method that keeps hair healthy while looking full and styled for hours.
My philosophy is simple: technique is everything. I don't believe in using crimping tools to force volume. Instead, I teach my students—and practice myself—a method that relies on precise sectioning, pinning, and structure to get that natural, bouncy look.
The Masterclass Experience
At my Bangalore academy, I don't just lecture. We get hands-on. My 12-day masterclasses are built to help students go from zero confidence to full-fledged bridal styling skills. We cover everything from the basics of tool handling to advanced techniques like fixing mistakes and placing fresh flowers for South Indian bridal braids. It is tumba (very) important to me that students actually leave with the knowledge to handle real clients, not just pretty Instagram photos.
On the Job
When I am out on a shoot or a wedding, what you see in these photos is the real process. I bring my own brushes, pins, and passion for clean, polished work. Whether I am draping a heavy Kanjeevaram for a bride or creating a textured messy bun for a reception, I make sure the look is dance-proof and comfortable.
If you are a bride, you get the benefit of my 'no damage' expertise. If you are an aspiring artist, you get my full attention in the academy. Either way, you are getting a stylist and teacher who is obsessed with the details.
Dakshayini
I’m Dakshayini, and for me, hair is pure art. I don’t just style for your big day; I teach other artists how to master the perfect, healthy look without relying on harsh heat. Whether I’m at your wedding venue or teaching at my academy in Bangalore, my focus remains the same: creating natural, bouncy hair that feels as good as it looks.
