About Traditional & Royal Bridal Looks
My approach centers on 'base architecture'—I use color correction and layering techniques specifically designed to handle Mumbai's humidity without the makeup feeling heavy or cakey. Whether you choose a traditional royal bridal look or a contemporary aesthetic, I focus on seamless blending to ensure your foundation sits perfectly against your skin, not just looking good for photos but holding up throughout your entire wedding celebration.
The Art of Traditional Bridal Makeup
Traditional bridal looks are about balance. When you are wearing heavy jewelry and intricate embroidery, the makeup needs to harmonize with the attire, not fight it. My process starts with deep skin analysis to determine your skin type and prep needs. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all foundation approach. We work on your skin's unique undertones to ensure the base is flawless.
Why Blending Matters
My core mantra is that harsh lines have no place in bridal makeup. Whether I am creating a bold cut-crease eye for a reception or a soft, radiant look for a day wedding, the transition between colors must be invisible. This is what gives a look that 'royal' finish. I use a combination of brushes and finger-blending to get the product deep into the skin, which creates a natural, lit-from-within glow.
Handling Indian Wedding Realities
- Long-wear Durability: Weddings are long events. I prioritize waterproof products and setting techniques that keep the base fresh from the ceremony through the late-night reception.
- Jewelry Coordination: I always ask to see the jewelry early. If you are wearing heavy polki or gold sets, I adjust the eye makeup density and lip shade to ensure your face doesn't get lost behind the accessories.
- Cultural Authenticity: From Maharashtrian to Punjabi or Bengali styles, I respect the traditional aesthetics of each culture while applying modern, high-definition makeup techniques to bring them into the present.
My studio is in Goregaon, but I work with brides across Mumbai. Every booking includes a consultation to discuss your specific vision and skin concerns.
