Join Our Karate Dojo Family in Mumbai
Karate is more than punches and kicks here. Whether you are starting at three years old or aiming for a senior belt, you join a community that sweats together to grow stronger together.
It's never too early to start. This delightful video shows a three-year-old girl practicing her rolling technique under the guidance of Senpai Chetan Rathod Sir, embodying the fun and inclusive spirit of our dojo.
This is a sample of our special morning training schedule for senior belts at Prabhadevi Beach. We believe in varied training environments to keep our students challenged and engaged.
A look at our detailed dojo practice schedule for a month. This structured plan ensures our students receive balanced training across physical fitness, kata, kumite, and conditioning.
About Our Dojo Family
We do not just hand out belts. Every student follows a structured monthly curriculum that balances physical conditioning, like duck walks and sprints, with deep technique practice. Whether it is our 3-year-old beginners learning to roll or senior students training on the sand at Prabhadevi Beach, your progress is planned down to the minute.
The Gojudo Philosophy
We train under a simple, non-negotiable rule: 'The more you sweat in the dojo, the less you bleed in combat.' At our Parel academy, we honor the legacy of Grand Master Ramesh Parab Sir by teaching traditional Gojudo Karate. This is not a gym where you come to casually burn calories. It is a space for discipline, character building, and rigorous martial arts education.
What Training Looks Like
Our curriculum is tiered to ensure that every student, regardless of age or skill level, is consistently challenged:
- Foundational Kihon & Kata: New students spend significant time on stances, blocks, and basic movements. We emphasize Japanese terminology to ensure you understand the history and 'why' behind every move.
- Structured Conditioning: We integrate traditional bodyweight exercises like duck walks, crawling, and intense stretching into every session to build functional strength.
- Advanced Conditioning: For senior belts, training extends beyond the community hall. We conduct early morning sessions at Prabhadevi Beach, using sand resistance for stamina, along with weapons training (Kobudo) like the Bo Staff and Sai.
- Practical Self-Defense: We teach real-world sparring (Kumite) and self-defense workshops for women and visually impaired groups, focusing on effective, safe techniques rather than showy maneuvers.
A Community, Not Just a Class
Our dojo is like a family. From our belt grading exams and written tests to our annual Bordi camps, we create opportunities for bonding outside of standard tuition. We invite you to step into the dojo, meet our instructors, and see if you are ready for the challenge.
