Nature Education and Plantation Drives for Schools
Let’s get children out of the classroom and into nature. We partner with schools to turn environmental lessons into hands-on experiences that stick.
"Planting together, learning together." School students holding saplings they've prepared in newspaper pots. We teach them sustainable nursery techniques from a young age.
School boys planting a sapling at one of our sites. When children plant a tree themselves, they become its guardian and develop a sense of responsibility towards nature.
From curiosity to conservation. A young student examines a birdhouse at one of our events, while another image shows a large group of school children at a plantation site. Our goal is to spark a lifelong interest in the environment.
Students from various schools participating in a plantation drive for HCL's Foundation Day. Involving children in corporate CSR events creates a powerful inter-generational connection.
School girls working together to plant a tree. These collaborative activities teach them about teamwork and their collective power to make a difference.
Children of all ages getting involved in the HCL Foundation Day plantation. It's a joy to see their enthusiasm and willingness to get their hands dirty for a green cause.
Students from St. Anthony School in Faridabad with the seeds and polybags they collected for us. This collection drive teaches them about resourcefulness and the role they can play in our reforestation efforts.
A closer look at the collection drive. Teachers and students worked together to gather a huge number of used polybags, which we will repurpose as nursery bags for saplings.
Our team addressing the students at St. Anthony School. We always take the time to explain how their contributions will be used, closing the loop and making the experience more meaningful for them.

About Nurturing the Next Generation
The real education happens when a child gets their hands dirty. When we visit schools, we don’t just talk about recycling. For example, we ask students to collect used polybags and seeds from home. We then show them exactly how that 'waste' becomes a nursery bag for a new sapling. It closes the loop, showing kids that sustainability is a practical daily habit, not just a textbook concept.
Nature isn't something to be studied from a distance; it is something to participate in. My philosophy, and the method we use at Give Me Trees, is simple: trust nature, and it will teach you everything. We bring this approach to schools through workshops that go far beyond standard lectures.
How We Engage Young Minds
We design our nature education programs to be playful yet purposeful.
- Seed Ball Making: We teach kids to mix clay, compost, and native seeds. It is a messy, fun activity that teaches them the basics of reforestation.
- Waste-to-Value Workshops: We turn plastic waste into functional bird feeders. It changes how children view 'trash,' showing them potential where others see clutter.
- Plantation Drives: When a child plants a tree, they become its guardian. We guide them in native species selection and long-term care, ensuring they understand the responsibility of stewardship.
Why This Matters
Children are natural learners. When they participate in a plantation drive or learn to manage a nursery, they develop a sense of agency. They realize they are not just consumers of this planet but active protectors of it. Our work is to bridge that gap between curiosity and conservation.
Whether it is a one-day school plantation drive or a sustained eco-club initiative, we focus on building a lifelong connection. We operate extensively across Delhi NCR, Pune, and Meerut, and we are always ready to travel if it means helping a new generation fall in love with the Earth.
Give Me Trees Trust
I have spent years watching kids transform the moment they realize they can actually save a tree. We are not just teaching biology or gardening; we are raising the next generation to be guardians of this planet. Join me, and let’s grow this movement together.
