I am Mamppi Deb, Co-Founder of Therpup Grooming Salon. My work is a blend of passion, creativity, and a deep dedication to the well-being of every animal I groom.
My journey began with my own dog, Aby. Wanting to groom her myself led me to discover my passion. I started as a bather, pursued professional certification in 2021, and combined my love for animals with a creative flair.
My dream became a reality in August 2023 when I opened my salon in collaboration with Therpup. It marked the start of my full-time grooming journey, and I am so proud of the space we have created for pets.
A crucial part of my job is the initial consultation. Here, Simba the Golden Retriever is making sure I go over his grooming plan carefully. Understanding each dog's specific needs is key to a successful groom.
My commitment is to the welfare of animals. I strive to educate pet owners about their dog's specific grooming needs, building a bond with clients over our shared love for their pets.
The ultimate reward is seeing a pet parent's relief when their dog's skin improves or their pride in a fresh groom. When a pet starts to enjoy their spa day, I know my job is done right.
Continuous learning is essential in this industry. This is my certificate of completion for a basic course in pet grooming for dogs and cats, one of the key steps in my journey to becoming a certified professional.
About Our Salon, Services & Philosophy
Before we start any groom, we sit down with you and your pet to figure out exactly what they need. If I notice hotspots, overgrown nails, or early signs of coat issues, I will tell you. Grooming is a partnership, so I will show you the brushing techniques you need to use at home to keep that coat healthy between visits.
At Therpup Grooming, we do things differently because I know how stressful salon visits can be for many pets. My team and I operate on a strict 'comfort first' rule. If a dog is matted, we prioritize a humane shave over a painful de-matting session. If a cat is distressed, we pause. The goal is to make sure your pet leaves feeling better than when they walked in.
We offer a range of treatments tailored to your pet's needs in Whitefield and Sarjapur. This includes our exclusive Ozone Bubble Spa, which has proven effective for dogs struggling with joint pain or persistent skin issues. For heavy shedders, we provide specialized de-shedding packages that use professional tools to remove dead undercoat without damaging the topcoat.
My approach is based on transparency and education. During our initial consultation, we will examine your pet’s skin and coat condition. I will talk you through the best maintenance schedule for your specific breed, whether it's a Golden Retriever needing regular de-shedding or a cat requiring gentle, stress-free handling. We don't use cages, and we don't believe in shortcuts. We believe in building a bond with your pet so that they actually look forward to their spa day.
