I treat living and dining areas as the true center of your home, focusing on flow, comfort, and reflecting your family’s unique personality.

A tour of a classic and opulent formal drawing room. I focused on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for hosting guests using vintage-inspired furniture, a grand chandelier, and a rich color palette.

This formal dining area is all about understated luxury. The statement chandelier from Klove Studio hangs above a classic wooden table, creating an intimate setting for meals, while the marble flooring adds a touch of timeless elegance.

The right styling completes a room. Here, I used a sleek, geometric console table, a trio of tall mirrors to enhance the sense of space, and elegant vases to add a final layer of sophistication to this dining area.

Partitions can be both functional and beautiful. This intricate metal and mirror screen elegantly separates the dining area while acting as a decorative art piece, adding glamour without closing off the space.

A well-designed foyer sets the tone for the entire home. This entryway features geometric marble flooring and an ornate metal door, creating a grand and memorable first impression.

For this house entrance, I used beige Travertino stone on the wall for texture and a set of diamond-cut mirrors to create an interesting visual feature. A tall vase with flowers adds a welcoming touch of color and life.

My client wanted to create a sense of peace at their entrance. I designed this serene nook with a Buddha idol, surrounded by indoor plants and natural materials, to bring a feeling of calm and positivity right from the doorstep.

Art doesn't always have to be a painting. These unconventional, three-dimensional metal flower sculptures add texture and a unique, artistic touch to a wall, serving as a beautiful focal point in the hallway.

This mood board illustrates the concept for a clean and aesthetic foyer. I planned a combination of Sea Pearl paint, natural wood flooring, and simple ceramic vases to create a minimal yet warm welcome.

About The Heart of the Home: Living & Dining Areas

When planning your living and dining layout, the biggest mistake is prioritizing aesthetics over actual movement and flow. I focus on how the space works when you are hosting guests versus a quiet weekday evening. Whether we need a delicate metal partition to define your dining area or specific lighting to anchor your sofa setup, we build functionality into your design from day one.

Designing for Life, Not Just Looks

Your living and dining area is where family gathers and guests get their first impression of your home. It needs to be more than just pretty; it needs to be practical. My approach starts by understanding your lifestyle. Do you host large dinner parties, or is this space primarily for family movie nights?

Defining Spaces without Walls

One of the most effective tools I use to manage open floor plans is the strategic use of partitions. In many Delhi and Chandigarh apartments, we don't have the luxury of separate rooms for every activity. I often use intricate metal or fluted glass screens to gently separate the dining area from the living space. This keeps the home feeling airy while still giving each area a distinct purpose.

Materiality and Lighting

Lighting can make or break a room. For dining areas, I often recommend a statement piece—like the glass chandeliers from Klove Studio I have used in previous projects—to anchor the space. When it comes to wall treatments, I love working with textures like beige Travertino stone or geometric mirror patterns. They add depth and luxury without overwhelming the room.

Bringing in Your Story

Your home should reflect you, not a catalogue. If you have a specific piece of art, an idol you want to display at the entrance, or a family heirloom, we make that the focal point. For entrance foyers, I often integrate elements like Buddha statues or personalized wall art to ensure the first thing you see when you walk through the door is something that brings you peace or joy. Whether you lean toward Japandi, minimalist luxury, or modern Indian aesthetics, we work to balance your needs with timeless design principles.
