About this collection

We spent years documenting the traditional Guthu houses of Tulunadu to understand how they managed climate and community living. We do not just mimic these aesthetics; we apply the logic of timber pillar placement, Mangalore tile roofing, and courtyard ventilation to modern luxury homes in Bengaluru. This ensures your space feels grounded in tradition but functions perfectly for today's climate and lifestyle.

Architecture is more than form; it is a dialogue between the past and the future. Our design process is informed by the Panchamahabhuta (the five elements), a principle we observed in the ancestral homes of Tulunadu. By understanding how these historical structures interacted with wind, light, and water, we have developed a framework for modern sustainability that goes beyond typical green certifications.

Applying Heritage to Modern Life

When we work on a residential or institutional project, we look at the site's unique microclimate rather than applying a template. We analyze sun paths and wind directions, utilizing the same passive cooling techniques found in ancient architecture to reduce your dependency on mechanical HVAC systems.

Our Process

  1. Site & Climate Analysis: We study the specific topography of your plot to maximize natural light and ventilation.
  2. Heritage Integration: We incorporate vernacular materials like stone, wood, and clay tiles, pairing them with modern structural engineering to ensure durability and comfort.
  3. Collaborative Concept: We work with you to ensure the narrative of the space reflects your story, whether it is a contemporary home or a public building.

Our goal is to build spaces that do not just exist, but breathe and grow with the people who inhabit them. If you are looking for design that respects regional identity while embracing modern innovation, we are here to help.
