Physics in Action: Mechanics and Force Experiments

Physics shouldn't stay in textbooks. We make concepts like energy, force, and pressure come alive by helping students build real, working models that demonstrate exactly how the world moves.

This is where the fun begins. Students are completely engaged in building their own catapults from scratch, learning about levers and stored energy.

I took our hands-on experiments to a public event. Here you can see me explaining concepts like static electricity and potential energy using simple, interactive models that anyone can try.

This student is demonstrating the hydraulic crane he built. Using just water and syringes, he can lift objects, providing a clear and practical lesson in fluid dynamics.

A look at two different hydraulic arm projects built by students. These models are fantastic for understanding how force is transferred through liquids to perform work.

About this collection

When we build a hydraulic crane using cardboard and syringes, it’s not just a school project. It’s an exercise in understanding Pascal’s Law and fluid dynamics. We will show you how to transfer force through liquids, helping you build a model that survives the transport to school, fully functional and ready to impress during your viva.

Mechanics and energy are everywhere, from the giant catapults in movies to the simple lever on your door. Too often, school physics remains locked in theory, leaving students to memorize formulas they cannot visualize. My approach is different. Whether we are tackling a complex school science project or diving into mechanics during a private session, we prioritize the build.

Our Project Process

We start by breaking down the scientific principle, be it potential versus kinetic energy or force application. Then, we get to the workbench. For mechanics, we use accessible, durable materials like corrugated cardboard, popsicle sticks, and syringes to construct models that actually work.

Support for School Projects

Struggling with a Grade 6-9 physics model? I provide 2-3 hours of guided supervision. You leave with a model that is not just finished, but one you can explain confidently during your viva. I help with the concept drill, ensuring you understand the theory behind the levers and pressure, not just the assembly. We also do a stress test to ensure the prototype survives the journey to school.

Why It Matters

When a student builds their own hydraulic arm or catapult, the concept sticks. It transforms the question from 'how do I pass this exam?' to 'wow, that is how that works.' If you are in Bengaluru and looking for a way to make physics click for your child, let’s get started. We work out of Basavanagar but offer home visits across the city to help you get your project done right.
