A glimpse into the raw emotions, diverse rituals, and hidden perspectives I have captured across India. These frames are the stories I live for.
This is the raw energy of the Kulasai Dasara festival in Tamil Nadu. I seek to capture these moments of intense devotion, where performers transcend the everyday, embodying gods and demons in a spectacle of fire and faith.
From above, the Akshardham temple in Delhi reveals a perfect, divine symmetry. My drone photography aims to uncover these hidden patterns in sacred architecture, showing a perspective that is both grand and serene.
I met this woman in a remote village in Ladakh. Her portrait tells a story of a life shaped by tradition and harsh landscapes, capturing the quiet strength and wisdom etched into her features. This is the humanism at the core of my work.
In the chaos of Masan Holi at Varanasi's Manikarnika Ghat, life and death dance together. I plunged into the clouds of ash to capture this otherworldly scene, where spirituality is raw, unfiltered, and intensely alive.
A young worker and his horse kick up dust at a brick kiln in Bihar. I use monochrome to emphasize the timeless, cinematic quality of daily labor, focusing on the motion and grit of their story.
Three women offer prayers during Chhath Mahaparv in Bihar, their forms reflected in the calm water at dusk. This image captures the quiet, painterly beauty of faith, a moment of pure tranquility and devotion.
An abstract view of birds flocking over the foggy Yamuna Ghat in Delhi. Sometimes the most compelling stories are told not in faces, but in patterns and atmosphere, revealing the unexpected beauty of the urban landscape.
A Theyyam performer, considered a human god, makes his way through the lush greenery of Kerala. Documenting these ancient rituals involves following the entire journey, from the quiet preparations to the divine procession.
The city of Kashi, or Varanasi, glows with a spiritual energy as dusk settles over the Ganga. This aerial view captures the scale of devotion, with countless boats and people gathered for the evening aarti.
A woman carries her load at a brick kiln, her form silhouetted against the sky. This image is from my long-term project documenting the strength and dignity of laborers who build our world one brick at a time.
About Featured
I do not believe in posed shots or artificial studio setups. My approach is entirely documentary, where I embed myself in the environment to catch raw, honest emotions as they unfold. Whether I am navigating a crowded festival or documenting quiet life on the ghats, I wait for that decisive moment where the light, the subject, and the story align.
My photography is about finding truth in the chaos. When I am behind the camera, I am not looking for technical perfection in the traditional sense, but for the human spirit. My process involves two main approaches: candid documentary coverage and aerial perspective.
For festivals and gatherings, I work as a visual storyteller. I immerse myself in the crowd, using high-end mirrorless cameras with fast prime lenses to capture the intensity of rituals like Masan Holi or the quiet devotion of Chhath Mahaparv. I avoid directing the action, allowing the event to play out naturally so the final images feel like a memory, not a production.
When the story demands scale, I bring in my drone. This aerial drone storytelling allows me to shift the viewer's perspective, revealing patterns in sacred architecture or the flow of rivers that you simply cannot see from the ground.
Every project gets my signature cinematic treatment. I deliver high-resolution files with atmospheric color grading or high-contrast black and white processing to emphasize texture and emotion. Whether you are looking for festival documentary photography in Delhi or a cultural portrait session, my goal is to give you a set of images that tell your specific story. I am based in Delhi NCR but travel extensively across India for projects, from the high passes of Ladakh to the riverbanks of Kashi.
