About Documentary & Cultural Photography
My Way of Seeing
I’m always chasing stories, not just pictures. For me, photography is about finding that real moment - woh asli feeling jo sabko chu jaye. Whether I’m standing knee-deep in the Ganga’s mist or stuck in the Holi crowd at Barsana, I look for the emotion that connects everybody. Sab moh maya hai (it’s all an illusion), but somewhere in the chaos, I try to catch the truth.
What I Love to Shoot
My camera’s seen a lot - intense faces smeared with color at Masan Holi, the sunrise prayers of Chhath Mahaparv, Theyyam’s wild dance in Kerala, Dussehra’s drama in Tamil Nadu. Festivals are where I dive deep for authentic festival photography. But it’s not just events - I get lost in the old lanes, Banaras ki galiya, and document Indian street life photography in its rawest form. My long-term projects often focus on portraits of everyday life, like brick kiln workers building dreams or quiet days on the ghats.
My Style
I’m not after technical perfection. If the story needs it, I’ll go full monochrome - black and white documentary style strips everything down to emotion and texture. But when energy’s bursting, I let the colors fly. I shoot from every angle I can grab, sometimes drone, sometimes right in the crowd, always looking for that human spark.
Where You’ll Find Me
Mostly Delhi-based, but my work has taken me to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Ladakh, and Bengal. Wherever there’s a story, you’ll probably find me with my camera, chasing that next frame.

My Story
Hi, I’m Sushant. Most days, you’ll catch me somewhere between Delhi and the next festival, camera in hand. I chase stories—Holi colours in Barsana, Chhath in Bihar, foggy mornings at Yamuna ghat. Baarish rukti hai, aarti nahi rukti (rain stops but prayer doesn’t). My lens finds peace in mountains, faces, and the everyday. Sab moh maya hai, mann ko shanti toh Siv me hai (all is illusion, peace is in Shiva). I just want to show you what I see.
My Work
My Photography Services - I do festival documentary photography, real street moments, cultural portraiture, and aerial drone storytelling. Open for collaborations.
Cultural Storytelling - I travel across India to capture the soul of traditions—like Theyyam or Masaan Holi—showing the raw emotion and living culture.
Aerial Navigator - Drone shots give a fresh angle—Ganga Aarti from above, Delhi’s monuments, city lights. It’s a new way to see old stories.
A Wanderer's Eye - Not into posed stuff. I’m after real moments, true essence. If you want genuine stories, let’s talk.
