Wedding Details & Candid Characters: The Little Things
A wedding day is defined by a thousand small, unscripted moments. I look for the tiny stories that add character and color to your day, from the flower girls to the quiet details.
A sweet kiss between the bride and her flower girl. The innocence and love in this moment is what makes having kids at weddings so special.
This Fearless Award-winning shot was a moment of pure chance. As I set up the dress shot, these two cats wandered into the frame and created a perfect, quirky Mumbai moment.
The page boys make a run for it down the church aisle! The pure, uncontainable energy of kids is always a joy to photograph.
A funny face-off between the bride, her bridesmaid, and a very curious flower girl. Kids always bring an element of surprise to weddings.
A flower girl discovers her reflection in the mirror, a moment of pure childhood wonder.
A candid moment of a sister helping her little brother with his socks. These quiet, behind-the-scenes family moments are priceless.
A "multi-layered" detail shot, capturing a hand blessing the wedding rings, which are beautifully displayed in a glass box.
A young page boy looks up in awe at the bride. The wonder in his eyes is a beautiful, candid moment.
Curiosity couldn't kill the dress! A cat inspects the bride's wedding gown in a classic Mumbai alleyway.
The flower girls make their way down the aisle, a sweet and important part of the ceremony.
About The Little Things: Details & Characters
People often worry about getting the perfect posed shot, but the real magic usually happens when the camera is waiting for the unexpected. Whether it is a page boy running down the aisle or a cat wandering into a bridal portrait, I focus on those fleeting, authentic flashes of personality that truly define the energy of your day.
The big events—the vows, the rings, the dance floor—are obviously important, but I have learned that the true character of a wedding day is hidden in the details. It is the flower girl discovering her reflection, the bridesmaids helping with the dress, or a quiet moment of anticipation before the bride enters the church. These are the moments that bring your wedding album to life years later.
My approach is simple: I do not ask for stiff poses. I watch and wait. This means I spend as much time looking at the edges of the frame as I do at the center. If a flower girl is being curious, or a pet decides to join the bridal portraits in a Mumbai alleyway, I am already there, ready to capture it. Arre ho jayega sab, we will have fun. When you stop worrying about the camera and let the day unfold, that is when you get the most honest, high-impact shots.
I specialize in finding these multi-layered moments. Whether I am shooting a Catholic wedding in a city church or a destination event in Goa, I focus on the raw interactions that tell the story. My goal is to deliver images that make you feel exactly what you felt that day, rather than just showing what things looked like.
