Traditional & Semi-Classical Fusion Dance Classes
I love blending traditional grace with a modern Bollywood twist. Whether it's a soulful thumka or a classic stage performance, these routines are all about letting your expressions and body flow.
Feeling my young Kareena era in this performance to 'Dupatta'. This routine has a lovely, flowing quality, using the skirt to create beautiful movements.
Channeling my inner Madhuri Dixit with this dance to 'Badi Mushkil'. This is one of those hidden gems from my childhood that I've always loved dancing to.
Entering my Heeramandi 'Alamzeb' era. I choreographed this piece inspired by the series, capturing the grace and elegance of the character against a beautiful backdrop.
Attended this magical semi-classical workshop after a long gap. This style of dance, with its focus on grace and expression, is very close to my heart.
Dancing on the streets of Rajasthan to the folk fusion song 'Chaudhary'. It wasn't easy, but my passion for dance gives me the confidence to perform anywhere.
This performance of 'Bulleya' is a tribute to the singer Papon. It's a semi-classical piece that blends traditional movements with contemporary feeling.
This song 'Kudmayi' from Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani means a lot to me. I created this piece to capture the emotional and traditional feel of a bride's farewell.
Stage, lights, camera, and performance. This is where I belong. A shot from a stage performance where I got to showcase my semi-classical training.
A moment of pure joy captured during a stage performance. The twirl is one of the most beautiful expressions in Indian dance forms.
A graceful pose from my Saraswati Vandana performance. Semi-classical dance allows for such deep expression and storytelling through the body.
About Traditional & Semi-Classical Fusion
If you think traditional dance is all about rigid discipline, my classes will change that. We break down the technical grace of semi-classical forms but keep the energy loose and Bollywood-ready. You won't just memorize steps; I help you focus on abhinaya (expressions) so you actually feel the story of the song while you dance.
My fusion style is for anyone who wants the elegance of classical dance without the intimidating pressure. We mix the storytelling depth of semi-classical movements with the catchy rhythm of modern Bollywood tracks.
What you will learn:
- Grace & Posture: We focus on body isolation and hand gestures (mudras) that bring a story to life.
- Expressiveness: I prioritize abhinaya—telling a story with your eyes and face, which is the heart of traditional Indian dance.
- Stamina: Don't worry, this isn't just slow-motion movement. We build your core strength, so you can pull off those twirls with confidence.
Whether you're prepping for a sangeet, an office cultural event, or just want to feel graceful in a saree for a video, this fusion training is perfect. My classes in Delhi and Gurgaon are designed for beginners and intermediates who want to express themselves freely. We keep it real—sometimes that means perfecting a single ada (expression) for ten minutes, and other times it's just about feeling the flow of a beautiful song.
