Movements that speak to the soul. I blend semi-classical grace with soft Bollywood fusion to help you find your rhythm and tell your story through dance.

Some songs just make time slow down. This semi-classical piece, filmed in a beautiful park in New Jersey, is all about grace and dancing from the heart with a friend.

This devotional piece is very special to me. It's a style that connects me to my roots, blending spiritual expression with graceful semi-classical dance movements.

This is me moving for me, blending contemporary, Bollywood, and semi-classical styles. It’s a reminder that movement should be yours, raw and true to the dancer you are.

This contemporary fusion class was a breath of fresh air. It was a moment of pure release, where I felt free to just be myself in the dance without trying too hard.

Contemporary dance was my first love before my knee injury. This piece was a beautiful, emotional return to a style that makes me feel like I can fly, even with physical limitations.

About Expressive & Graceful Choreography

I don't just teach steps, I teach you how to listen to the music. My semi-classical sessions are about adding a touch of elegance to your movement, specifically designed for those who want to express rather than just perform. If you have been hesitant about your grace or feel like your style is too rigid for slow songs, this is the space where we unlearn that tension. We focus on breathing and subtle expression, making even the simplest movements look fluid and intentional.

Dance is not always about high-octane cardio or hitting every beat with robotic precision. Sometimes, it is about slowing down, connecting with a song, and letting your body tell the story. My expressive and graceful sessions are a blend of semi-classical Indian roots and soft, melodic Bollywood numbers.

Why Focus on Grace?

In a world that celebrates fast-paced reels, there is something deeply grounding about a slower, more deliberate movement. Whether we are working on a piece of classical fusion or a soft romantic track, the goal remains the same: to make you feel comfortable in your own skin.

What You Will Learn

  • Subtle Expression: We work on abhinaya (expression) and fluid hand movements. It is about how you move from one step to the next, not just the step itself.
  • Technique vs. Feeling: We keep the technical basics, like posture and stance, but we prioritize the 'vibe' of the song. You do not need a background in Kathak or Ballet to join these sessions.
  • Space for Vulnerability: This is a safe space. If you feel shy or awkward, that is exactly where we start. We use these sessions to shed those inhibitions.

Who is this for?

  • Beginners: If you have never taken a class, this is the perfect entry point. We start slow and build at your pace.
  • The 'Shy' Dancer: If you love to move but hate performing, these classes help you internalize the music for yourself.
  • Wedding Sangeets: If you are choreographing a performance for a bride or a solo, adding these graceful touches makes a routine feel like a personal statement rather than just a sequence of steps.

Hi, I’m Taniya. I built TDC to bridge my life between NJ and Bangalore through the language of movement. I’m not here to judge your form; I’m here to help you find that 'jeene di wajah'—your reason to dance—even when things feel a little chaotic.
