About Newborn Portraits: The First Precious Days
The golden window for newborn portraits is strictly between 15 and 28 days. This is when your baby is still in that deep, curly newborn sleep, which allows me to get those peaceful, naturally curled-up poses without any discomfort. If you wait past this, the baby becomes more alert, which is beautiful for personality shots, but quite different from the quiet, sleepy look many parents are after.
A Safe and Calm Environment
My approach to newborn photography in Mumbai prioritizes your baby's comfort above everything else. The studio is a climate-controlled, safe environment where we move at your baby's pace. There is no rushing, no forced posing, and plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes.
My Minimalist Aesthetic
I believe the baby should always be the focus, not the props. My style is defined by simplicity. I use a palette of neutrals and textures that highlight your baby’s delicate features rather than distracting from them. Whether it is a classic dark backdrop for dramatic, emotional lighting or a bright, airy setup for a soft lifestyle feel, the aim is to create images that look as timeless in twenty years as they do today.
Preparing for Your Session
- Booking: My calendar fills up quickly. I recommend booking your session while you are still in your third trimester to secure your preferred dates.
- The Experience: These sessions are about connection. While I capture the classic, posed newborn portraits, I also make sure to photograph the quiet, intimate interactions between you and your little one. These unscripted moments are often what parents treasure most in the final gallery.
- Gallery Delivery: You will receive access to a private online gallery where you can select your favourite high-resolution, professionally retouched images from the session.
