Family Constellation Therapy: Understanding Your Roots
Gently uncover family patterns and ancestral burdens through visual mapping. A safe, non-judgmental space to see where love feels blocked and restore your inner flow.
In a typical session, we use a board and figures to represent your family system. This constellation revealed how a client's physical weight was connected to the emotional burden of being the 'giver' in all her relationships, allowing her to release judgments and find peace.
This session explored feelings of inadequacy stemming from a client feeling unseen by her parents. The constellation allowed her to step out of the mediator role she had taken on and finally receive the acknowledgment she needed, restoring order and love.
Sometimes, we use crayons to represent family members and their positions. This simple yet profound setup helped to acknowledge the presence of an unborn sibling, a key step in healing the family system and understanding its impact on the present.
A constellation can also map abstract feelings, like the tension between the comfort of the 'Known' and the fear of the 'Unknown'. This process helps you see where you are torn, so you can consciously choose your path forward with clarity and acceptance.
These peg dolls are representatives in the 'knowing field'. As a practitioner, I am humbled by this work, knowing that love without order is incomplete. My goal is to help you find that order so love can flow.
This black and white image emphasizes the timeless nature of family systems. The patterns and loyalties we explore often stretch back through generations, and this work honors all who came before us.
About The Family Constellation Process: Mapping Your Inner World
In a 75-90 minute session, we do not need your actual family present. Using wooden figurines or simple markers on a tabletop, we create a visual map of your family system. This allows you to stand back, see where you might be carrying burdens that are not yours—like unacknowledged trauma or hidden loyalties—and gently address them so you can reclaim your own space.
How It Works
Family Constellation Therapy is not about analyzing your past in a clinical sense. It is about accessing what we call the 'knowing field.' By placing figures to represent family members, we gain a bird's-eye view of your family system. This often reveals why you might feel stuck in relationship patterns, or why you carry a sense of not being enough, even when you are doing your best.
What to Expect in a Session
- No Family Required: This is a private, one-on-one process. You are the only one who needs to be present.
- The Tabletop Approach: We use wooden peg dolls and simple markers to represent the family members or concepts involved in your struggle.
- Mapping the Dynamics: By physically arranging these pieces, we can see where the flow of love is blocked. Often, the resolution comes from simply seeing the truth and saying what needs to be said, perhaps for the first time.
- Release and Integration: We close with somatic focus and breathwork to help you ground the insights you have gained, so you do not just know the answer, but feel it in your body.
This work honors the generations that came before us, acknowledging the weight they carried, so that we may live our own lives more freely. Whether you are in Bengaluru for an in-person session or joining from afar via Zoom, the space remains the same: sacred, quiet, and entirely yours.
