A Collection of Real Moments: Portraits and Maternity
A look at some of my favourite captures, from quiet family bonds to empowering maternity portraits. My focus is always on the connection between us, not just the picture.
A quiet moment between a mother and her son during their family portrait session. I love focusing on these simple, unposed interactions, where the natural bond is the most beautiful part of the picture. This is the heart of my minimalist family photography.
This video montage showcases a maternity session from my Malad studio, playing with a serene green color palette. We moved through several poses, both standing and seated, to create a series of elegant and timeless pregnancy portraits that feel both powerful and calm.
We captured this serene maternity portrait during an intimate home session in Ranchi. The soft, natural light and cozy knit dress create a feeling of warmth and comfort, which is exactly what I aim for when I travel to you for a shoot.
A powerful and artistic maternity portrait captured during an in-home session. The vibrant embroidery of her dress and the direct gaze create a striking image that celebrates the vitality and strength of pregnancy.
A little glimpse into my process during a women's portrait session at my studio. I often get right on the floor to find the perfect angle and connect with my clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and guided throughout the shoot.
About Featured
I don't believe in heavy props or stiff, unnatural posing. My process relies on finding good, natural light and giving you the space to just be yourself. Whether we are in my Malad West studio or your living room, the goal is to make the shoot feel like we are just hanging out, so you stay relaxed and the emotion comes through naturally.
My Approach to Photography
Photography for me is about documenting your current chapter, not just taking a picture. I keep my process simple and spontaneous because over-planning often kills the genuine vibe I look for. When you choose a session, we aren't just ticking off a to-do list.
Studio vs. At-Home Sessions
- Studio (Malad West): My studio is designed for a clean, minimalist aesthetic. It works perfectly for Mother and Child minis or full family sessions where we want to keep the focus entirely on your expressions and connection. We use professional strobes and solid, neutral backdrops.
- At-Home Mobile Studio: If you have toddlers or are in your late term, I bring the studio to you. I set up professional lighting and backdrops in your home, which allows you to be in a familiar space. We mix these with lifestyle shots using your home environment to get that intimate feel.
Why Minimalist?
I prefer keeping backgrounds neutral—beige, black, white, or olive. This ensures that the focus remains on you and your loved ones. We discuss wardrobe beforehand, usually opting for cozy knits or flowy dresses that you feel comfortable in.
Travel and Logistics
While I am based in Mumbai, I frequently travel for sessions. If you are in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, or Ranchi, I can coordinate a session at your location. My turnaround time is typically two weeks for full galleries, and I handle all the professional retouching to ensure skin and color look natural but polished.
