About Rare & Exotic Collection
Every rare aroid in our collection is potted in a specialized, chunky mix designed specifically for root aeration. This prevents rot—a common issue with high-moisture tropicals—and ensures these collector species establish quickly once they reach your home.
Why Collector Plants Need Specialized Care
Rare plants like the Variegated Monstera or Philodendron 'corsinianum' are not standard nursery stock. They require specific environmental conditions to maintain variegation and vigorous growth. At our Mysore center, we focus on three pillars of plant health:
- Acclimatization: Before any plant is listed or shipped, it spends time in our shade house. We adjust the humidity and light levels, ensuring the plant is not in shock when it moves from our facility to your home.
- Soil Composition: Standard potting soil is too dense for exotic aroids. We use custom Aroid mixes with coco chips, perlite, and bark to ensure the roots get enough oxygen.
- Structural Support: Many of our climbing Philodendrons are provided with established moss poles. This encourages larger leaf development and mimics their natural climbing habit.
