As a coach and a competitor, I lead by example. Here I am, proudly holding the Karnataka flag after competing. I bring the same passion and discipline from my own races to every single training session with my students.
Becoming a great skater isn't just about what you do on wheels. Our training includes a mix of on-skate speed drills and off-skate workouts like running and sit-ups to build the core strength and endurance needed to win.
Nothing makes me prouder than seeing the next generation fall in love with skating. It's a special joy to hear from parents who have known me for years and now trust me to guide their own children on their skating journey.
We practice hard and we celebrate every victory together. This is our team after a successful inter-school competition, a mix of proud coaches and even prouder skaters with their medals and certificates. This is what our ERSC family is all about.
A national gold medal is a huge achievement. I am incredibly proud of Veeskha for her win at the Open National Skating Championship in Mohali. This is the kind of success we work towards every day at the club.
We don't just teach skating; we nurture big dreams. It's moments like these, hearing a young skater's fierce ambition to invent skates for space, that remind me why I love coaching. We encourage every child to dream big, on and off the rink.
About Featured
Learning to skate with us starts with safety and gear, not speed. I personally require all beginners to start with full protective gear, including a helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads, because before you can master a glide, you have to learn how to fall properly without getting hurt.
How We Start
Many people think skating is just about rolling forward, but it is really about core strength and trust. When you join my weekend batches in Sarjapur or Koramangala, you won't just be circling a rink. We start with dry-land fitness, including sit-ups, lunges, and plank variations, to build the ankle and leg strength you need to stay upright.
Why Discipline Matters
I have been on skates since I was five, and I have won over 100 golds. That did not happen because I was born with wheels on my feet; it happened because I practiced when it was hard. My students learn this early. Whether you are a beginner looking to get fit or a parent wanting your child to pick up a new sport, you will see that we treat every lap with focus.
What You Can Expect
- Quad vs. Inline: Beginners usually start on quads for better balance. Once you are steady, we can talk about switching to inlines.
- The Vibe: We are a club, not a gym. You will find school kids, working professionals, and parents all cheering each other on.
- Safety First: My motto is simple: if you aren't wearing pads, you aren't skating. I am strict about this because I want you to focus on the movement, not the fear of hitting the ground.
