Meet the Team Behind Our Plastic Waste Revolution
We are not just a recycling startup. We are a team committed to turning trash into something that actually lasts. Meet the people who process, design, and build the future we want to see.
As entrepreneurs, our greatest joy comes from creating innovative solutions while also providing employment and empowering our team members along the journey.
Celebrating our team at the workshop. These are the skilled hands and dedicated individuals who help us turn plastic waste into finished products every day.
A group photo with our team. Building a positive and inclusive workplace is as important to us as the environmental impact we create.

Our full team, united by a shared mission. We are proud to be building a company that contributes to both the environment and our local community.
About The People Behind the Mission
It all started with a mountain trek and a promise to do better. Today, our workshop at Alipur is the heart of everything we build, where our team turns discarded multi-layer plastic and bottle caps into durable, public-use furniture. When you choose our benches or installations, you are not just buying a product; you are supporting a circular economy that provides local employment and directly diverts thousands of kilos of waste from our landfills.
The Journey from Waste to Wonder
We started as a small team with a simple idea: to prove that waste is just a resource in the wrong place. Sonal and Vaibhav lead Econscious, but the real heroes are the hands in our workshop who clean, shred, and press the plastic waste that others ignore. We believe in transparency, which is why you will see our team using the products we build.
Why Our Team Matters
We are not just a recycling startup; we are a community-focused team. Our work with city bodies and at events like the Maha Kumbh requires more than just machinery; it requires a team that understands the specific challenges of public spaces. Whether it is a bench for a local park or a changing room for a public facility, every piece is built by people who know exactly what that plastic used to be.
Our Process, Your Impact
- Collection: We work with local ragpickers and communities in Delhi-NCR to gather waste.
- Processing: Everything is cleaned and shredded at our facility.
- Crafting: We create recycled sheets that feature a unique, confetti-like finish. Because we use post-consumer plastic, no two pieces are identical.
By building this way, we do more than make furniture. We create jobs and prove that zero-waste public spaces are possible across India. If you want to see how we do it, our doors in Alipur are always open to anyone who cares about a cleaner future.
Econscious
We are Sonal and Vaibhav, and this is our daily grind. We started Econscious on a mountain trek, frustrated by plastic pollution, and we haven't stopped since. Building this team and seeing the real-world impact of every bench we place is what keeps us going.
