About Grace & Expression: Semi-Classical & Kathak
You do not need years of training to start. In our Saturday and Sunday sessions, we strip away the pressure of perfection. We focus on the basics—footwork, hand gestures, and storytelling—in a small, supportive group of 8 to 15 people, so you get the attention you need to actually learn rather than just follow along.
At Echo Academy, we believe that Kathak and semi-classical dance are for everyone, not just professional dancers. Whether you have never worn ghungroos or you are returning to dance after a long break, you will find a comfortable pace here.
Our classes follow a simple 60-minute structure: 10 minutes of warm-up, 40 minutes of step-by-step choreography breakdown, and 10 minutes of cool-down. This focused format helps you grasp the nuances of the dance, from the subtle movements of your hands to the rhythm of your footwork, without feeling overwhelmed.
Our Bellandur studio is built for dancers. You will be practicing on shock-absorbing wooden floors designed to protect your joints, with full-wall mirrors to help you check your posture and form. Since we keep our batches limited to 15 students, you get actual feedback from the instructor during the class. Plus, we often end our routines with a professional staff-assisted video recording, so you have a high-quality reel to take home and share.
