The Art and Energy Behind the Mic
Beyond the stage lights and announcements, I am a performer driven by rhythm and deep-rooted tradition. Here is a look at the training, the passion, and the craft that I bring to every show I host.
I am a firm believer in lifelong learning. I'm proud to share my certificate of achievement with first-class honors from the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute for my course on the Vedas, Upanishads, and Bhagavad Gita. This knowledge enriches my hosting, especially for spiritual and cultural events.
A throwback to a dance choreography session from my "purple hair era." As a 'dancing anchor', dance is not just a skill but a passion. This folk dance performance shows the grace and energy that I bring to the stage.
This is a special behind-the-scenes look at "The Making of Radha." It shows the entire process, from concept and makeup to the final performance, and my vision of challenging stereotypes by embodying this divine character on the grand stage of 'Rangilo Re'.
About this collection
When you hire me, you are not just getting an emcee who reads from a script. You are getting a performer who understands the flow of a stage, whether it is managing the high-energy demands of a Navratri festival or the subtle, spiritual requirements of a traditional Godh Bharai. My background in Bharatanatyam and continuous research at the BAPS Swaminarayan Institute means I do not just speak the language of the crowd—I understand the cultural nuance behind every ritual and celebration.
More Than Just An Anchor
For over 12 years, I have lived by a simple philosophy: if the host is not having fun, the audience will not either. With more than 1,500 live events under my belt, I have developed a style that blends the discipline of a classical dancer with the spontaneity needed for live crowds.
The Performer's Discipline
My training in Bharatanatyam taught me that every movement has a meaning and every moment on stage requires presence. I carry this into my work as a 'dancing anchor.' Whether I am hosting a cocktail night in Mumbai or a large-scale festival, I use this body language to keep the energy levels high without needing a megaphone.
The Scholar's Approach
My work at the BAPS Swaminarayan Institute on the Vedas and Upanishads is not just a personal interest; it is a professional asset. For traditional family functions like naming ceremonies or baby showers, this knowledge allows me to provide context, explain rituals in a way that respects their significance, and guide families through the ceremony with warmth and authenticity.
How I Connect
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. My events are a mix of English, Hindi, and Gujarati, tailored to the audience in front of me. I am a firm believer in the 'rang, raas & ramzat' energy—the color, the dance, and the revelry. My goal is to make sure that whether it is a corporate jubilee or a family sangeet, everyone feels invited, engaged, and part of the action.
Drashti Vajar
I am Drashti, and I do not believe in just standing behind a microphone. I am a lifelong dancer who turned that stage energy into a career, mixing professional anchoring with the soul of a performer. Whether I am hosting a corporate gala or a family sangeet, I am here to keep your crowd moving and your event flowing exactly how you imagined.
