About Behind the Magic & Special Collaborations
When you see a saree styled to look like a lehenga or a flawless red-carpet silhouette, it is almost always about the hidden pinning technique and how I balance the fabric weight. I use professional-grade fashion tape and concealed safety pins to ensure your pleats remain crisp and your pallu stays perfectly in place, even if you are dancing or posing for photos for hours.
Professional draping is about more than just securing fabric. It is about respecting the textile, whether it is a heavy tissue Banarasi, a stiff Kanjeevaram, or light georgette, and tailoring the silhouette to fit your movement. My approach to event styling is rooted in structural integrity.
Whether you are attending a high-profile premiere, a Sangeet, or a milestone anniversary celebration, I focus on specific details that make the difference. For red-carpet styling, I calculate the exact pallu length for camera angles and adjust the silhouette to enhance your natural posture. I have worked on projects ranging from Sabyasachi anniversary events to NMACC red carpet appearances, where precision is paramount.
My process involves a movement test to ensure the drape allows for easy walking and sitting without disturbing the pins or the fall of the saree. If you have an outfit that needs a specific look—such as a modern saree-lehenga fusion or a traditional, ritual-compliant Navari—we can discuss the structure to ensure it matches your vision. I bring the same level of care to every client, ensuring that you can move and celebrate with total confidence.
