Judging and Global Barbering Standards
Being on the other side of the clippers is how I stay sharp. When I judge, I'm not looking for perfect photos; I'm looking for the technique that holds up.
I was honored to be on the panel of judges for the Andis "Copy the Cut" competition in Malaysia. It's a privilege to see talent from around the world and help decide who walks away with the champion title.
About Industry Recognition & Judging
When I was on the panel for the Andis Copy the Cut competition in Malaysia, it wasn't just about who made the cleanest fade. I was looking for the logic behind the sectioning and how the barber handled hair texture. That's the same eye I bring to my workshops here in Bandra. You aren't just learning how to cut hair; you're learning how to be critiqued so you can actually grow.
Travel changes how you look at a fade. Whether it is sharing stages at Professional Beauty India or sitting on the judging panel at international expos like the Andis event in KL, I am constantly stress-testing my own techniques. People ask why I bother with these competitions. The answer is simple: you cannot evolve if you stay in your own bubble.
When I teach, I bring that international standard back to the salon floor. You won't find me teaching shortcuts or trends that expire in a month. I teach the structural foundation that holds up regardless of the latest Insta-craze. Whether it is a skin fade or a modern mullet, the principles of bone structure and product logic remain the same.
If you are training with me, you are training with someone who has seen the best in the game perform under pressure. My workshops are not lectures. They are deep dives into clipper maintenance, hand-eye coordination, and the reality of the barbering industry. If you are ready to stop copying and start creating your own signature style, let's get to work.
