For cocktail nights, the biggest challenge is balancing music for conversation with a beat that makes people want to move. I use an open-format approach where I slowly build the tempo, starting with smooth English lounge and retro tracks, then transitioning into upbeat Bollywood numbers once the mood shifts and guests are ready to hit the dance floor.
