DIY & All-Vinyl Pop-Ups for Authentic Community Vibes
I bring the raw energy of analog music to the streets. These pop-ups are about building community, digging through crates, and listening to tracks you won't hear on the radio.
A collage from a 'City Goes Wax' session. This shows the different elements of our DIY pop-ups: me on the decks, crates of vinyl records, and vintage clothing stalls. It's a full cultural affair.

About DIY & All-Vinyl Pop-Ups
When I set up these sessions, I bring more than just a playlist; I bring a high-fidelity analog experience. I use two Technics SL-1200 turntables and a boutique rotary mixer because the specific warmth of vinyl changes how a space feels. You are not just hiring a DJ; you are getting a dedicated sound setup designed for a crowd that wants to listen and connect, not just scroll through their phones.
My pop-ups are about reintroducing the physical act of listening to music. We are not talking about top 40 hits here; we are diving deep into Jazz, Funk, Soul, Reggae, and Hip-Hop. I curate these spaces to be inclusive and community-led, meaning you will often find vintage merch, local food partners, and a crowd that appreciates the craft.
Whether it is a sunny afternoon session at an outdoor venue or an intimate evening gathering, the goal remains the same: create a space where the music dictates the tempo. I manage the full end-to-end production, including sourcing reliable sound systems that can handle the nuance of a vinyl record. If you are looking to host an event that feels like a genuine block party rooted in culture rather than just another gig, we should talk. My approach is to move away from the repetitive club cycle and build something that actually sticks.
