My signature solo production tells the enchanting love story of Krishna and the Gopikas from the Srimad Bhagavatam. This performance explores themes of devotion and playful surrender through expressive abhinaya and intricate nritta, all set to a live orchestra.
Abhilasha: The Eternal Longing
This production delves into the deep emotions of Radha and the Gopikas, exploring their profound longing for Krishna. Through powerful abhinaya, I portray the various shades of 'viraha' or separation, and the ultimate joy of reunion.
Dance & Puppetry: The Magic of Bombeyaata
I love blending Bharatanatyam with Bombeyaata, the traditional string puppetry of Karnataka, to create a unique theatrical experience. Shows like 'Rukmini Parinaya' bring stories to life in a way that captivates audiences of all ages, especially children.
Stories of Gods & Devotees
Beyond the tales of Krishna, my repertoire includes stories celebrating other divine figures from our rich traditions. I perform narratives on the powerful Lord Shiva, the devoted Sita, and the saint-poet Meerabai, each with its own unique emotional landscape.
The Art of Abhinaya & Nritta
Every performance is a balance of 'Abhinaya', the art of emotional expression, and 'Nritta', pure and rhythmic dance. This section showcases the detailed facial expressions and hand gestures that tell a story, alongside the energetic footwork and dynamic poses that celebrate the joy of movement.
