This is Aahan, one of our youngest vocal students, practicing a powerful sufi-style Bollywood song. You can see the emotion and focus he puts into his riyaaz, which is the foundation of great singing.

About Student Showcase: From Riyaaz to Performance
It is not about getting every note perfect on day one. Watching our students go from shy first riyaaz sessions to feeling comfortable performing in our community jams is the real highlight. We focus on building confidence through patience, ensuring you understand the 'why' behind the music before you step onto any stage.
Building Your Musical Journey
Music is a language, and like any language, it starts with practice. At Dey'z Music, we don't believe in rote learning where you just copy what the teacher does. Whether you are starting with basic Hindustani sargam or Western vocal exercises, our goal is to help you internalize the concept.
Riyaaz to Performance
We believe the jump from practice to performing shouldn't feel like a leap. It is a slow, steady process.
- Foundational Riyaaz: This is where we build the muscle memory. For our vocal students, it might be alankars; for instrumentalists, it is scale practice. This builds the discipline you need to play with ease.
- The Comfort Zone: We create a safe space. A lot of our students come in feeling shy. By the time they record their first cover, they are often surprised at how much their confidence has grown.
- Community Jam Sessions: This is where the magic happens. We host monthly jams in Mumbai where students perform with peers and teachers. This teaches you how to listen to other musicians, react to rhythms, and overcome stage fear in a supportive environment.
Why This Approach Works
Many of our students start with simple covers, like a guitar rendition or a classic Bollywood song, and eventually move on to creating their own compositions. We don't push for exams, though we do offer Trinity and Rockschool coaching if you want that structure. Our primary focus is ensuring you enjoy the process. If you want to know how you can start your own journey, whether you are 5 or 75, just reach out. Let's see what you can create.
Dey'z Music
I started Dey'z Music because I believe everyone has an artist inside. My goal isn't to force notes down your throat, but to help you find your unique voice—whether you are 5 or 75.
