Custom Murphy Beds and Foldable Tables
Compact living does not mean you have to sacrifice space. I build custom wall-mounted beds and foldable tables designed to reclaim your floor area without compromising on durability.
This collage shows a real-world example of a dual-function room. The space serves as a comfortable drawing room with a sofa by day, and the wall unit folds down to reveal a full bed for the night.
Here is a wall-mounted bed in its closed position. It looks like a sleek, modern cabinet, completely hiding the bed and freeing up the room for other activities.
To add more function, I can build in features like this small, foldable shelf on the front of the Murphy bed unit. It's perfect for placing a glass of water or a book when the bed is closed.
This is the wall-mounted study table in its folded position. It sits flush against the wall with a clean wooden frame, ensuring it doesn't get in the way.
In this Kandivali kitchen, I installed a compact, wall-mounted breakfast table. It provides a convenient spot for a quick meal without taking up permanent space in the kitchen layout.
About Space-Saving Transformers: Murphy Beds & Foldable Tables
Before you finalize your design, look closely at the hardware. For wall-mounted beds, I prioritize hydraulic gas pumps that actually last, paired with BWP-grade Marineply that holds screws tight over years of daily use. It is not just about the folding mechanism; it is about ensuring that when the bed is up, your cabinet stays rock-solid, and when it is down, it feels exactly like a standard, stable mattress support.
Living in Mumbai and Pune, we all know the value of square footage. My goal is not just to make furniture; it is to make your room work double-duty. When building Murphy beds for clients, my biggest concern is safety and long-term durability. I use 18mm BWP (Boiling Water Proof) 710 Grade Plywood because it holds heavy-duty hydraulic hinges securely, so the cabinet does not warp or loosen after repeated opening and closing. You get a 3D plan from me first, so you know exactly how the unit will look on your specific wall before we cut any material.
For foldable study or breakfast tables, I use brackets rated for over 40kg, so you can lean on them while working without worrying about the table buckling or feeling flimsy. Whether it is a queen-sized bed that disappears into a sleek wall unit or a compact desk for your WFH setup, the finish and function must be perfect. Everything I build is moisture-resistant and termite-proof, which is essential for the local climate. If you have a specific alcove or a wall that feels dead, let me know. We can turn it into a hidden storage unit or a desk that tucks away entirely when the work is done.
