Behind the Scenes of Couture Styling
Styling is more than the final photo. It is the precision in the drape, the calm on a chaotic set, and the technical work behind the curtain. Take a peek into how I bring a vision to life.

About this collection
When you see the final look on a red carpet or a bridal stage, you don't see the safety pins, the industrial steamer, or the two assistants working to adjust the heavy can-can while the bride navigates the venue. That invisible, technical work is what makes a couture lehenga look effortless instead of heavy. I do not just pick outfits; I handle the physical engineering of the look, from custom draping to last-minute alterations, so you can focus on the event, not on whether your dupatta will stay in place.
My creative process starts long before the event date. Whether I am directing a campaign shoot for a designer or styling a bride for a destination wedding, the approach remains the same: meticulous planning followed by disciplined execution.
The Anatomy of a Look
Styling is 20 percent inspiration and 80 percent execution. My work with designers like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Sandeep Khosla and Gaurav Gupta has taught me that couture is only as good as the fit. During my fittings, we do not just check if it closes; we check how it moves. I specialize in technical draping, which is a skill I prioritize. Whether it is a traditional Patola saree or an avant-garde gown, the drape determines the silhouette. I ensure the fabric falls exactly where it should, creating grace where there might otherwise be bulk.
On-Set Realities
On a campaign shoot, my role shifts from stylist to creative director. I manage the synergy between the model, the photographer, and the makeup artist. My goal is to ensure the garment translates effectively in the frame. If a lehenga needs more volume to capture the light, I adjust the layers on-site. If a model needs posing direction to show off a specific embroidery technique, I facilitate that collaboration.
How We Start
We begin with a conversation about your venue, your comfort level, and your aesthetic goals. I ask for the real numbers and the honest vibe you want to project. Once we establish the concept, I handle the logistics—sourcing from top-tier labels, organizing the trials, and managing the team that ensures your day runs smoothly. You provide the story, and I build the visual language around it.
