Featured Outdoor Designs and Rooftop Sanctuaries
A first look into our design philosophy. We turn overlooked balconies, rooftops, and gardens into functional extensions of your home—balancing nature, light, and purpose to create spaces that breathe.
The Terra Gardens penthouse at dusk, a complete outdoor sanctuary designed for modern living. This view showcases the three distinct zones we created: a central social lounge for gatherings, an outdoor kitchen and bar area, and a private spa corner, all unified by strategic mood lighting and lush greenery.
As evening descends, the Terra Gardens terrace transforms. This video tour highlights the dynamic atmosphere we create with lighting, from the glow of custom pendants to the excitement of a movie night under the stars, demonstrating how a single space can host a variety of moods and moments.
A sunlit daytime view of the Terra Gardens project, revealing the thoughtful zoning of the space. The slatted pergola creates a beautiful play of light and shadow over the social lounge and outdoor kitchen, while the open design maintains a connection to the city skyline beyond.
The Celadon residence, a quiet retreat nestled within a one-acre farm. Here, our design blur the line between architecture and landscape, with a tranquil koi pond and lush plantings that wrap around the home, integrating it seamlessly into its natural surroundings.

About Featured
When we approach an outdoor project, we stop looking at it as an extra space and start treating it as a functional room. Whether it is the monolithic onyx bar at the Terra Gardens penthouse or the koi pond at Celadon, our focus is on structural integrity that survives Bengaluru’s weather. We prioritize materials that age gracefully, such as stone, teak, and brass, ensuring your retreat feels as permanent and cared for as your living room.
Outdoor design often suffers from being an afterthought, but we see it as the most critical dialogue your home has with the outside world. Our approach is binary: we look at how a space performs during the day and how it transforms at night.
The Structural Foundation
Good outdoor design is not just aesthetic; it is about load management and waterproofing. For our rooftop renovations, we start with precise screeding and multi-layer waterproofing before adding a single piece of stone or teak. We treat your terrace not as a balcony, but as a foundation.
The Kitchen & Entertainment Zone
We move beyond standard grills. We design monolithic outdoor kitchens using high-end materials like brushed brass and Italian marble. We integrate plumbing and electricals with precision, creating a space where you can host, cook, and entertain without dragging supplies from the main house.
The Atmosphere
Our lighting plans are essential to the mood. We avoid flat, over-lit spaces, preferring warm, layered light—LED strips under counters and directed spike lights—to define zones. When paired with tropical, low-maintenance foliage like Monstera and Palms, the space takes on a life of its own, shifting from a sun-drenched lounge by day to a moody, intimate sanctuary after dark.
Why This Matters
We are not here to simply style a deck. We are here to build a retreat. If you are looking to reclaim your rooftop or garden, our design process is about stripping away the noise to find the specific story your space is waiting to tell.
Design Boulevard
We are Komal and Muzamil. We started Design Boulevard to challenge the idea that outdoor spaces are just leftover areas. We spend our time obsessing over materials and debating layouts until we find that sweet spot between functional and beautiful.
