Being a goalkeeper is as much about the head as it is about the hands. At Delhites Football Academy, we teach our keepers that they are the eyes of the team. They have the best view of the pitch, and we train them to communicate effectively with the defenders.

Our Training Focus

• Handling & Shot-Stopping: We focus on the 'W' technique for high balls and chest-height catches. We drill repetitively until securing the ball becomes muscle memory.
• Footwork: The modern keeper is the first attacker. We work on ball control, short passing, and goal kicks, ensuring our keepers are comfortable with the ball at their feet.
• Positioning: We teach keepers how to cut down angles during 1-on-1 situations. Understanding geometry on the field helps them block more shots without even needing to dive.
• Distribution: A save is only half the job. We train on quick, accurate distribution to start counter-attacks, making our keepers vital to our offensive play.
