Advanced Skating & Competitive Agility Training
Move past the basics. Our advanced skating program focuses on speed drills, tight cornering, and competition-ready technique.
Agility and footwork are crucial for advanced skating. This video shows our off-skate conditioning drills, where I push students to improve their speed and coordination with exercises like ladder drills. This is how we build a champion mindset.
About Advanced Skill Development
Before you even strap on your skates, we spend significant time on off-skate conditioning. You will see us running ladder drills repeatedly—not to show off, but to build the specific explosive footwork required for tight cornering and higher speeds. If you are looking for a casual weekend glide, this program is not the right fit. We cater to those aiming for district or inter-club tournament performance.
For skaters ready to transition from casual riding to competitive performance, our Advanced Program is structured for intensity and rapid skill acquisition. We operate on a 6-day-a-week schedule to ensure consistency in muscle memory and conditioning.
What we focus on
- Technique: We move beyond basic movement to mastering crossovers, backward skating, and rapid deceleration.
- Conditioning: Every 90-minute session includes off-skate ladder drills for agility and on-skate endurance laps to build stamina for long-duration events.
- Competitive Edge: We train specifically for tournament requirements, focusing on the agility needed to outmaneuver opponents and the mental preparation to handle high-pressure race environments.
Gear & Requirements
Since our sessions take place on outdoor hard concrete tiles, the right gear is mandatory. We strongly recommend pro-grade Inline or Quad skates equipped with high-quality PU wheels for better grip and control during high-speed cornering. Full safety gear—helmet, knee, elbow, and wrist guards—is non-negotiable.
This is a performance-based group. We push for results, and the training reflects that. If you are ready to put in the hours and want a coach who will shout 'Speed se!' until you get it right, this is the place for you.
