About Dandiya Raas Nights
This is not a workshop, so leave your performance anxiety at the door. These nights are strictly about the dhamaal (fun). We keep the floor open for everyone to dance freely, accompanied by live Dhol players and a crowd that is there just to celebrate.
If you are tired of rigid dance classes where you are focused on counting steps, this is your shift to simply let go. Our Dandiya Raas nights are designed as social events rather than instructional sessions. We create a festive atmosphere with full decor, overhead drapes, and dedicated photo zones so you get the full experience of a Navratri celebration.
What to expect at our events:
- Live Dhol: We bring in professional Dhol players to accompany the DJ tracks, which makes the rhythm feel authentic and infectious.
- Open Floor: There is no teaching here. The floor is open for you to just jump in, dance with friends, and enjoy the collective energy of the group.
- Community Vibes: You will meet a mix of dancers from our regular workshops and newcomers who just love the festive season.
- Practical Comfort: We host these events in air-conditioned studios or venues in Okhla and Safdarjung, and we provide changing facilities so you can come straight from work or home in your traditional wear.
Since these are not classes, you do not need to bring a partner or worry about technical perfection. We keep the guest list small and personal to ensure the energy stays high and the floor is never too crowded. Just bring your energy, wear your best ethnic outfit, and get ready to dance until you drop.
