Delicate, airy, and beautifully structured. My silk organza collection focuses on fluid asymmetry and the subtle, light-catching shimmer of hand-woven zari.
I crafted this soft pink tunic set from a wispy silk organza that feels incredibly light. The fabric is woven with subtle zari stripes that catch the light beautifully. Its flowing, asymmetrical layers and a neckline detailed with delicate hand embroidery make it a perfect example of contemporary Indian fashion.
A burst of sunshine, this pop-yellow tunic set is another expression of my love for silk organza. The sleeveless design features a high cowl neck and graceful asymmetrical layers that float as you move. It’s a statement of lightness and modern elegance.
About Ethereal Silk Organza
Organza has a unique, almost sculptural quality that allows for both volume and transparency. When I design with it, I look for ways to balance that structural stiffness with fluid cuts—like cowl necks or asymmetric hems—so the fabric moves with you rather than sitting rigid against the body.
The challenge with working with silk organza is managing its inherent rigidity while striving for movement. To achieve this, I often pair the fabric with Tencel Luxe or lightweight silk blends in the underlying layers. This layering technique allows the organza to hold its shape—creating those sharp, architectural silhouettes—while the soft base layer ensures the garment remains comfortable against your skin throughout the day.
Each piece in this collection is enhanced with fine zari stripes woven directly into the loom. These aren't added later; they are part of the original textile, meaning the shimmer is subtle and integral to the fabric rather than an overlay.
Whether you are looking for a statement tunic for a luncheon or a layered ensemble for an evening event, these pieces are designed to be versatile. Because I rely on natural fibers, the fabric breathes exceptionally well, making these outfits suitable for our climate even when they feature elaborate layering.
