Chrome powders and magnetic cat-eye polishes are sensitive materials, and the secret to that mirror-finish isn't just the powder—it's the base color and the buffing technique. If chrome isn't applied with the right pressure or sealed with a specific non-wipe top coat, it will peel or lose its luster within days. I use professional-grade powders and magnetic wands to ensure your shine stays high-gloss until your next refill.
Why Chrome and Glitter Need a Pro
Chrome nails and glitter gradients are popular for a reason—they are bold and perfect for weddings or festive celebrations. However, they are also prone to chipping if the prep work isn't perfect. When you come to my studio in Malad West, I don't just paint your nails; I prep the nail plate so the gel bonds properly.
My Process for That Perfect Shine
- Chrome Application: I use high-pigment chrome powders that need to be rubbed into a tack-free top coat at exactly the right temperature/cure time. If I brush it on too soon or too late, you won't get that liquid-metal look.
- Magnetic Cat-Eye: This is all about the wand. I use a strong magnet to pull the iron particles in the gel into sharp, crisp lines. This technique allows me to create that 3D depth that makes the polish look like it is moving.
- Glitter & Foil: I layer glitter carefully so it feels smooth, not bumpy, and seal it with a durable top coat that protects the edges.
A Note on Care
I see many students and clients try to peel off their extensions when the glitter starts to grow out. Please don't. It strips your natural nail plate. Whether you got your set from me or somewhere else, come to the studio for safe removal using my E-file technique and soak-off methods. It keeps your natural nails healthy so you can be ready for your next set of glam nails immediately.
