About Classic & Understated Elegance
You might see cheaper options elsewhere, but there is a real 'farq' (difference) when it comes to the products and prep. Whether we are doing a classic French fade or a simple gel overlay, I focus on proper cuticle work and shaping so your nails don't just look good for a day—they last. Proper prep is the secret to that clean, elegant finish.
Why Simple Nails Need a Pro Touch
Many people think a single-color gel set or a simple French manicure is easy, but achieving that clean, uniform look requires precision. If the nail plate isn't prepped correctly, even the most expensive polish will chip within days.
The Anatomy of a Clean Set
At my studio in Malad West, I follow a specific process to ensure your nails look perfect:
- Dry Manicure: Before any polish touches your nail, we focus on cuticle health. A clean, trimmed cuticle changes the shape of the nail bed, making your hands look instantly neater.
- Shape Consistency: Whether you prefer almond, square, or squoval, I measure each nail to ensure the length and curvature are identical across all fingers.
- Quality Base: I only use salon-grade base coats. This prevents staining and ensures that the gel adheres smoothly without bubbling.
When to Refill
Classic styles grow out gracefully, but to keep that 'fresh from the salon' look, I recommend a refill every 3 to 4 weeks. If you wait too long, the imbalance of the extension can stress your natural nail. If you are new to extensions or just want a clean, professional look for work, this is the perfect starting point.
Remember, it is not just about the color you choose; it is about the health of the nail underneath.
