About Behind the Decks: My Story
When you hear a track drop at one of my gigs, you won't find it on Spotify. I am a producer first, which means every set is filled with my own custom edits. Whether it is a Bollywood classic flipped into Drum and Bass or an Indo-House groove that actually wakes up the dance floor, you get music that is exclusively mine, built to break the monotony of the same old playlists.
My journey started 15 years ago with nothing but cracked software, a pair of headphones, and a tiny room. Back then, my own friends were my first audience. Today, the scale has changed—from playing my first gig at home to hearing my own remix of 'Pehle Bhi Main' echoing through the Wankhede Stadium during a Mumbai Indians match.
I built the 'Shor Bazaar' sound because I got bored of the same commercial sets. I wanted to mix Indian folk, Punjabi energy, and Bollywood hits with heavy basslines, Dhol percussion, and electronic textures. I do not just press play; I curate a sonic riot.
Why my approach is different
- I am a producer first: Most of the tracks you hear in my sets are original edits. If you want a specific vibe, I can tweak the mix to fit the crowd's energy.
- The 'Ashvij' Fusion: I don't work alone when the event calls for it. I often pair up with live instrumentalists—tabla players or saxophonists—to bring an organic, raw sound to the electronic beats.
- Versatile Setup: Whether it is a chaotic Baraat procession in the rain or a polished corporate stage, I bring professional Pioneer gear and backup systems to ensure the music never stops, even if the tech decides to act up.
Ultimately, I am just a guy who loves making people lose their minds on the dance floor. If you are looking for a standard wedding playlist, I might not be the right fit. But if you want a high-energy set that keeps people dancing until 3 am, let's talk.
