I don't just play tracks, I follow the movement. For every battle or jam, I read the floor to push dancers to their limit with the right drops, breaks, and tempos.

The vibe at an Open Decks night is all about love and unity. A shot of the packed dance floor with everyone lost in the music.

A group photo from the 'Advancement' street dance battle. It's always an honor to be a part of events that push the dance community forward.

Big thanks to Big Dance Centre for believing in us. Posing with the crew after a successful jam. We had a blast working together.

The crowd with their hands up at a Beats & Banter event. When the beat drops, the energy in the room is everything.

A close-up shot of me at the decks during a packed club night. The red lighting and intense focus capture the heat of the moment.

A candid moment from an Open Decks gig. You can see the joy on my face and the crowd's as we connect through the music.

A wide shot of the dance floor from my perspective. It's an amazing feeling to see everyone moving to the beats I'm playing.

Reliving the epic vibes from my gig at Open Decks. I'm so grateful for the amazing energy and unforgettable moments on the dance floor.

When another DJ drops an insane flip of your new single. This was a great moment with my brother Mr. Beatlust during a set.

Had a crazy experience playing at 'Chalo Bankok' in Ahmedabad. The event was a massive party with good people and great vibrations.

About For the Dancers: Battle & Jam Sessions

When I'm on the decks for a battle, I'm watching the dancers more than the crowd. I keep my eyes on their footwork and their pace, ready to switch the BPM or drop a heavy break the second they hit that peak energy. My job isn't to play hit songs, it's to push every dancer to land their toughest moves, so having a booth monitor that lets me hear the mix perfectly is the only technical non-negotiable I have.

Playing for a dance battle is a completely different craft than a club set. In a club, you want to keep the energy steady and the floor moving for hours. In a battle, you are fighting alongside the dancer. You need to know when to bring in the funk, when to hit them with a heavy hip-hop beat, and when to drop an Amen break to catch them off guard.

I treat my sets as a conversation with the floor. I've spent years behind the decks for events like Red Bull Dance Your Style and BC One, so I know exactly what a breaker or a hip-hop dancer needs to hear to go hard. I don't rely on pre-made playlists. I bring my controller, my laptop with my custom edits, and a hunger to find those rare grooves that make a set hit different.

The Setup for Battles

Because I rely on real-time reading of the dancers, I need the technical side to be solid. I always show up 45 minutes early for a soundcheck. If you're booking me, ensure your venue has a proper PA system and, most importantly, booth monitors. If I can't hear exactly what's hitting the speakers, I can't sync with the dancers. We are building this culture from the ground up, so let's make sure the sound quality matches the intensity of the moves.

I'm Harsh, and I've spent the last 8 years specifically crafting sound for the underground dance scene. I live for the raw energy of a cipher or a battle, and I know that the right rhythm can push a dancer to pull off a move they didn't even know they had in them.
