Ditch the screens and get those hands messy. Our hand-building sessions are all about pinching, rolling, and creating, helping kids turn simple lumps of clay into their own little masterpieces.

A table full of busy hands and budding artists. Our hand-building workshops are perfect for groups, allowing kids to socialize while they roll, shape, and create with clay.

We took our hand-building workshop outdoors for a pottery picnic. Students learned to make sculptures like fish and musical instruments using basic techniques in the beautiful setting of Nehru Park.

Two siblings work together on their hand-building projects. These sessions are a great way for kids to unwind, focus, and create something soulful with their own hands.

These boys are deeply engaged in their hand-building projects during a 'Clay & Play' session. We provide various tools and cutters to help them bring their creative visions to life.

After the building comes the painting. These girls are adding vibrant colors to the small vases they created using hand-building methods.

Our Mother's Day workshop was a beautiful scene of families hand-building together. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone got their hands messy creating a family of bowls.

Here's a closer look at the hand-built bowls in progress during our family workshop. Each one starts as a simple lump of clay and is transformed by hand into a unique piece.

A mother and daughter smile as they work on their hand-built creations. Our studio setup allows for comfortable and focused work, whether at the wheel or the table.

Using wooden stamps is a fun way for kids to add patterns to their clay. This hand-building activity is a favorite at our summer camps.

About Hand-Building Adventures

We do not just hand over a lump of clay and wish you luck. Our sessions focus on the fundamentals—pinching, coiling, and slab work—which lets kids create anything from whimsical animal figures to sturdy bowls. It is tactile, messy, and the best way to watch their focus sharpen as they turn a flat piece of clay into something they can hold and use.

In a world of constant screen time, our hand-building sessions in Delhi and Gurgaon provide a much-needed slow-down. We focus on the craft—teaching kids how to manipulate clay using only their hands and simple tools like wooden stamps and slab rollers. Whether it is a weekend workshop or part of our summer camp, the goal remains the same: to build patience and confidence through creation.

Why Hand-Building?

Unlike wheel throwing, which requires a steep learning curve, hand-building is instantly accessible. Kids can start shaping immediately, which builds confidence fast. It is perfect for developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, offering a tactile outlet that is rare in daily life.

What You Should Know

We provide all high-quality clay and tools. The price covers the double-firing process—bisque and glaze—so your child’s piece is durable and food-safe. It takes about three weeks for the magic to happen in our kilns, but we promise the wait is worth it for that finished, glossy mug or bowl. We operate out of our studios in Nehru Place and Gurgaon, welcoming everyone from curious toddlers to school-aged kids ready to get their hands truly dirty.
