How Our Cake Smash Sessions Work

I want these photos to show your baby's true personality, not just a posed look. That is why I come to your home, bringing all the decor and props so you can focus entirely on your baby.

The Planning & Setup

Whether you have a specific theme in mind—like a 'Top Gun' pilot look, a boho floral setup, or an 'Above the Clouds' dreamy vibe—I come fully prepared. I handle the decor, including fairy lights, bunting, custom balloons, and even a vintage metal washtub if you prefer a milk bath session instead of (or after) the cake smash.

The Session Flow

We keep the pace relaxed, focusing on three simple phases:

• Clean Portraits: We start with some calm, classic portraits of your one-year-old before the mess begins.
• The Smash: This is the main event. Some babies love the taste, some find the texture strange, and some just want to smash it—I capture it all.
• Family Time: We finish up with a quick family shot to include you in the celebration, capturing the love and laughter behind the milestones.

Your baby is naturally more relaxed in their own space. There is no travel stress or unfamiliar environment. I bring the mobile studio, including floor protection mats to keep your floors clean, and we work around your baby's nap schedule.

A Note on Alternatives
