About Bridal & Groom Portraits
We balance the formal stage portraits your parents want with the raw, candid moments you actually want to keep. Whether we are capturing the intricate temple jewellery details during a GSB ritual or a quiet, reflective moment before your ceremony, we focus on lighting that complements your traditional attire and the unique coastal light of Mangalore and Udupi.
Our Approach to Portraits
Your bridal and groom portraits are often the images you will look at for years. We know that in South Indian weddings, the attire—from Kanjeevaram sarees to traditional gold jewellery—is a result of immense planning and family heritage. Our goal is to photograph these details clearly while capturing the emotion behind them.
The Two Ways We Shoot
We generally offer two approaches depending on your chosen package:
- Traditional Documentation: If you prefer standard, crisp portraits taken on stage or during rituals, our two-member team uses standard, reliable lighting to ensure everyone looks their best without over-complicating the process.
- Signature Cinematic Style: For couples opting for our multi-day packages, we use off-camera flash and cinematic lighting techniques. This allows us to create more dramatic portraits that pop against the background, which works perfectly for your pre-wedding shoot or during the quieter moments of the reception.
Preparing for Your Shoot
- Timing: If you want those 'solo' bridal portraits with soft, natural light, we recommend setting aside 30 minutes before the heavy festivities begin. This keeps the look fresh before the traditional makeup and accessories feel too heavy.
- Location: Whether it is a traditional home in Kundapur or a beachside resort in Udupi, tell us your venue in advance. Knowing the light at your location helps us bring the right gear, whether that is a drone for aerial shots or portable studio lights.
We are here to make sure you look like yourself, not a stiff version of you.
