This tilak plate was created exactly to my client's wishes. It combines a soft pink base with a real peacock feather, gold leaf, and small purple roses for a unique and spiritual touch.
A close-up of the stunning peacock feather embedded in this pooja thali. The way the resin magnifies its colors is just beautiful. This one was created for a client in Pune.

About Handcrafted Pooja Thalis
These aren't just decorative items; they are designed for your daily rituals. I use a high-gloss, waterproof resin base so you can easily wipe them clean after using them for kumkum and rice. Because I embed real peacock feathers and hand-paint the gold accents, no two thalis are identical, meaning the one sitting in your home is truly one-of-a-kind. 💫
Designing Your Pooja Thali
When I work on these thalis, my focus is always on the intention behind them. Whether you want a vibrant, bold color palette or soft, translucent pastels that match your puja room decor, I can blend the pigments to suit your preference.
Common Customizations:
- Symbols: I typically embed the Om or Swastik symbol using high-quality gold vinyl decals.
- Nature Elements: I often use real peacock feathers (Mor Pankh) as a focal point, as they catch the light beautifully through the clear resin.
- Functionality: Every thali includes fixed metal bowls (katoris) for your roli and chawal, along with a secure tea light holder.
Care and Handling
Since these are handmade, they are durable but not indestructible.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or scrubbers, as they can dull the high-gloss finish.
- Heat: While the resin handles tea lights well, avoid placing extremely hot objects directly on the surface for extended periods.
My goal is always Chalo koina smit nu karan banie (let's be the reason someone smiles). If you have a specific color theme or a spiritual motif you would like to incorporate, just let me know. I love creating pieces that feel personal to your family's traditions. ❤️
